Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a global score of 74.6, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018)'s overall score of 68.3. Even though Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a lot older and heavier than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), it's design is still somewhat thinner. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has the older 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo version.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a bigger screen, a lot better display density and a way better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a quite better processing power than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has an additional GPU.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features a very superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, although it has a worse (Full HD) video definition and a much lower resolution camera in the back. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a much greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 400 GB.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 counts with a much longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has 8220mAh of battery capacity instead of 5000mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), giving up some specs and features.
