Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a global score of 74.5, which is slightly better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018)'s 68.3 overall score. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has an older 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is an incredibly older tablet than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), but Samsung was able to build it a lot thinner and lighter.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has 1 GB more RAM and 4 more CPU cores.
Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, although it has a back-facing camera with lot less MP and a lower (Full HD) video resolution. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a quite bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) counts with a bit better battery life than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 2% greater battery size.
Even being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also a lot cheaper.
