Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a score of 60.1, which is just a bit better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8's 60.1 score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 construction has the same thickness than Asus MeMO Pad 8, but it's just a bit heavier. These devices work with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has 5.0 version while Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4 version, so it offers lots of additional features and some performance improvements.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a better performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has more RAM and a higher number of cores. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a much better resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a much better pixel density.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a slightly better storage to install games and applications than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 128 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a much longer battery lifetime than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and Asus MeMO Pad 8 feature very similar cameras, both of them have a 5 MP back facing camera, the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality and the same video frame rate.

Although Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a better device, it costs a little more money than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Asus MeMO Pad 8. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 8.0, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Asus MeMO Pad 8, letting go some features and specifications.
