Both of these tablets include Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), because although it has less cpu cores , and they both have a 3 GB RAM memory, the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) counts with a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), because it has a better 1600 x 2560 resolution, a larger screen and a bit higher display density.
Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) takes much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014).
