The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a global score of 62.7, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7's global score of 60.5. These devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has older 4.0 version while Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat. Despite being the best in this comparison review, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a way older, noticeably thicker and a lot heavier tablet than Galaxy Tab A 9.7.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a bit faster processor than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a lower number of cores (although faster) and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a GPU. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a way more mega-pixels camera. Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a superior storage to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB and 16 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab A 9.7. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, resigning some features and specs.
