The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a score of 64.8, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7's global score of 60.5. Both of these tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has 4.0.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat. Galaxy Tab 7.7 is an a lot older and a bit thicker tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, but Samsung was able to build it lighter anyway.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a lot better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixel density and a slightly better resolution of 800 x 1280. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a SD card slot that admits up to 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a bit better CPU than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has lesser RAM memory and lesser processing cores (but faster), it also counts with an additional graphics processor. Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a little bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a way better resolution camera in the back.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab A 9.7. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your money.
