The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, getting a overall score of 60.5 against 58.1. Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is a noticeably newer tablet device, and it's also thinner and a little lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both devices in this comparison come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a more recent 7.1 Nougat version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it gives some extra features.
