Comparison review
Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a global score of 60.5, which is slightly better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's global score of 57.6. Even though Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is older and incredibly heavier than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, it's body is still just a little bit thinner. Both of these devices have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has the newer 7.1 Nougat version and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so it provides the user a lot of extra features.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a bit superior processor than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a much sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a lot more pixels per inch of screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 and the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD have extremely similar memory to store more games and applications, they have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage capacity and a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB. Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a bit superior battery lifetime than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD takes much better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a much better 1920x1080 video resolution and a much more megapixels back camera.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is also very cheap compared to the other tablets.
