Galaxy Tab A8 is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), with a 62.6 score against 61.4. Galaxy Tab A8's construction is much newer, somewhat lighter and incredibly thinner than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). These tablets work with Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A8 has 11 version while Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1, counting with a couple additional features and some performance improvements.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a much better performing CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM memory and 6 lesser processing cores. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab A8, although it has a little bit smaller screen, a much worse pixel amount per inch in the display and a lot lower resolution of 800 x 1280px.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a lot higher 8 megapixels resolution back facing camera. Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 1 TB and 32 GB internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a battery performance that is just as good as the Galaxy Tab A8 one, although the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a 1% lower battery capacity.
