Galaxy Tab A8 is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, with a overall score of 62.6 against 61.7. These devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab A8 has 11 version while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1 version, offering a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks. The Galaxy Tab A8 is a a lot newer and way thinner portable tablet than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, although it's also heavier.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE features a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A8, although it has a lot worse resolution of 600 x 1024, a much smaller screen and a little worse pixels density. The Galaxy Tab A8 counts with a superior memory for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has more internal storage and a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 1 TB.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE counts with an extremely better CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster) and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has a superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a 76 percent larger battery capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 features a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a lot more megapixels camera in the back.
