The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, with a 70 score against 69.2. These devices have Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has Android 4.4.2. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 design is much newer, but incredibly thicker and heavier than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a lower number of 1600 megahertz cores and 1 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a little sharper screen than Galaxy Tab Active 2. Both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the same display pixel density and a same size screen.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 features just a bit better camera than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a back camera with lot more megapixels and a much higher 1920x1080 video resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a bit superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Note 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note 8.0. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy Note 8.0, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
