Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 is much better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, getting a 70 score against 58.1. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 body is incredibly newer and just a little lighter, but also somewhat thicker than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both tablets we compare here come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0 version.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a superior processing power than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has more CPU cores. Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a just a little worse pixels count in each inch of screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a little bigger screen.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a lot better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a much better video definition and a back camera with way more mega-pixels. Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a slightly bigger storage to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with better battery duration than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a 35 percent bigger battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab 8.9, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
