Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), with a 70 score against 68.3. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2's body is older, thicker and somewhat heavier than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). These devices include Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has Android 8.1 Oreo version, providing the user a couple additional features and a performance increase.

The Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a greater number of cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab Active 2, although it has a lower 1920x1080 video definition and a way worse resolution back-facing camera. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a way bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has more internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 400 GB.
