Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab, having a general score of 70 against 58.6. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 construction is way newer and thinner, but also just a bit heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Both of these tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a better performing CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has 7 more cpu cores and a greater amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab features a screen that is just as good as the screen in Galaxy Tab Active 2, although the Samsung Galaxy Tab has a just a little inferior quantity of pixels per inch in the screen, a way worse resolution of 600 x 1024 and a bit smaller display.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 shoots much better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab, because it has a back camera with a lot higher 8 mega-pixels resolution and a much better 1920x1080 video quality. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab, although it has 0 less internal memory capacity.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Tab, because it has 4450mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Active 2, else you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab, giving up a couple specifications.
