Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 is much better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, getting a 70 score against 57.6. Both tablets in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab Active 2 has 9.0 Pie version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is newer than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, it is way thicker and heavier.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 features just a bit better processing power than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. Both of them have 3 GB of RAM and 8 processing cores. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a higher pixels density and a lot better 1200 x 1920 resolution.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 has more storage capacity for apps and games than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 256 GB. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD takes much better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2. They have the same 30 fps video frame rate, a same resolution back camera and the same 1920x1080 video definition.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has just a bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a 5100mAh battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 costs a lot more money than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
