Galaxy Tab Active 3 is better than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, getting a 79 score against 66.2. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 construction is incredibly newer, but way thicker and heavier than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. Both tablets we are comparing here have Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Active 3 has the previous 10 version and Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 features a quite better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with 2,5 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 also has a way higher 1200 x 1920px resolution and a higher screen pixel density.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 captures a lot better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a back camera with a way higher resolution and a lot better (4K) video quality. Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with much more storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that holds up to 1 TB.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a 13% greater battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab Active 3, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, resigning a couple specs and features.
