The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a general score of 67, which is much better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's 60.8 general score. These tablets include Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has the newer 4.4 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a newer device than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, although it's just a little bit thicker and a lot heavier.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a quite better performance than Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor and a 450 megahertz graphics processing unit, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has more RAM. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a way better display than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater pixel number per inch in the screen and a lot higher 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution.
Galaxy Tab Active captures way better photos and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. Galaxy Tab Active has a much longer battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your savings.
