The Galaxy Tab Active has a score of 67, which is much better than LG G Pad 8.0's overall score of 58.6. Both of these devices include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab Active has an older 4.4 version and LG G Pad 8.0 has Android 5.0 version. The Galaxy Tab Active design is heavier but a little thinner than LG G Pad 8.0.
LG G Pad 8.0 counts with a screen that's just as good as the display in Galaxy Tab Active, they have the same exact 1280 x 800px resolution, the same screen density and a screen of the same size. The LG G Pad 8.0 counts with a CPU that is very similar to Galaxy Tab Active's processor, and although the LG G Pad 8.0 has 512 MB lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores and a 450 MHz GPU.
Galaxy Tab Active counts with a little bit better camera than LG G Pad 8.0, although it has a lot worse video definition and a camera with a way lower resolution. The LG G Pad 8.0's storage for apps and games is very similar to Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's one, both have exactly the same internal storage and an external memory card slot that admits up to 64 GB.
Galaxy Tab Active features just a little bit longer battery life than LG G Pad 8.0, because it has a 6 percent more battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more money than LG G Pad 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the LG G Pad 8.0. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Active, else you can save a couple dollars and get the LG G Pad 8.0, giving up some specs and features.
