Galaxy Note 8.0 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab Active, with a 69.2 score against 67. Despite of the fact that Galaxy Note 8.0 is older than Galaxy Tab Active, it's construction is thinner and lighter. Both of these devices include Android OS, but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab Active has Android 4.4 version, so it gives you lots of additional features and improved performance.
Galaxy Tab Active has a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. Both have exactly the same 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, the same number of pixels per screen inch and a display of the same size. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have 4 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a better graphics processor and a higher amount of RAM memory.
Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with as much memory capacity for apps and games as the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active one, they have exactly the same internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that admits up to 64 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also has a much more mega-pixels back facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a bit better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity against 4450mAh.
Even being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, the Galaxy Note 8.0 is also very cheap compared to the other tablets.
