Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, with a 67 score against 62.7. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a way lighter tablet device than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, but both are equally thin. Both devices we are comparing here work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has newer 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has Android 4.0 version, so it provides the user some extra features and improved performance.
Galaxy Tab Active features a brighter screen than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with more pixels per inch in the display. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with a much better memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has 16 GB internal memory.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's CPU is very similar to the Galaxy Tab Active one, although the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a smaller amount of RAM memory, 2 less processing cores (although they are faster) and a worse 400 MHz graphics processing unit. Galaxy Tab Active has a much better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a camera in the back with more mega-pixels.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a very superior battery life than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity against 4450mAh.
Galaxy Tab Active costs more than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
