Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), getting a 67 score against 61.4. Both of these tablets use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a newer 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1, so it counts with lots of additional features. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active construction has the same thickness than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), but it is incredibly lighter.
The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with more pixels per display inch. The Galaxy Tab Active has a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have a SD card slot that allows up to 64 GB, the Galaxy Tab Active also has 16 GB internal storage capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a higher number of cores , an additional graphics processing unit and a higher amount of RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a much longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 7000mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
The Galaxy Tab Active captures a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and although they both have the same (HD) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a more mega pixels camera in the back.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active costs more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), but it's still a great choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
