Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has an overall score of 67, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's overall score of 61.7. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active body is much newer and a bit thinner, but also somewhat heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a more recent 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1 version.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a little bigger display, a higher 1280 x 800 resolution and a bit higher number of pixels per inch in the screen. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with a superior storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and although they both have a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has more internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features just a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has 512 MB more RAM memory, more cores and a better graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with a little better battery duration than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has an 11% larger battery size.
Galaxy Tab Active has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, although it has a worse video resolution and a camera in the back with less MP.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
