The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, with a 67 score against 66.2. These devices use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a thicker and somewhat heavier tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a processor that is just as good as the processing unit in Galaxy Tab Active, both have a 450 megahertz graphics processor, 1,5 GB of RAM and 4 CPU cores. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a display that's just as good as Galaxy Tab Active's screen, they have a same size screen, the same display pixels density and an equal resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features as much storage capacity for games and applications as Galaxy Tab Active, they have the same internal storage and a SD card slot that supports up to 64 GB. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Galaxy Tab Active both have incredibly similar batteries performance. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's camera is very similar to Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's camera, although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a worse (HD) video definition and a less MP back facing camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
