Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, getting a 67 score against 64.8. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's design is extremely newer than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7's, although it is thicker and heavier. Both of these tablets work with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has newer 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has Android 4.0.4, providing the user some nice extra features.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a display that is very similar to the screen in Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280, it also counts with a little higher pixels density. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a lot bigger storage to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has more RAM memory, a larger number of cores and a better graphics co-processor working at 450 MHz. The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a more MP back camera.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a bit better battery duration than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 15% larger battery capacity.
Even being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing here, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is also very cheap compared to the other tablets.
