Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, getting a 67 score against 57.6. Despite being the best we compare here, we must tell that it's also a much older, somewhat heavier and thicker tablet. Both tablets in this comparison have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has the previous 4.4 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a bit sharper display than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, although it has much lesser pixels per inch in the display and a way lower resolution of 1280 x 800, they both have a display of the same size. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher number of cores and more RAM memory.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with just a bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD takes much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a way more mega pixels camera in the back and a way better (Full HD) video definition.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 5100mAh battery size instead of 4450mAh.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is way more expensive than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
