Galaxy Tab Active Pro is better than Galaxy Note 8.0, getting a overall score of 77.5 against 69.2. These tablets have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab Active Pro has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Note 8.0 has Android 4.4.2, so it gives some extra features. Galaxy Tab Active Pro's body is notably newer than Galaxy Note 8.0's, but it is way thicker and heavier.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 both feature really similar displays, although the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has a way worse resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, a really smaller screen and a just a bit worse screen pixels density. Galaxy Tab Active Pro counts with a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera.
The Galaxy Tab Active Pro has a way better battery life than Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a 7600mAh battery capacity instead of 4600mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Note 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Note 8.0. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy Note 8.0, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
