Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is better than the Asus Fonepad 7, with a general score of 64.9 against 58.9. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has 5.1 Lollipop version and Asus Fonepad 7 has Android 5.0 version, so it provides you lots of additional features and some performance improvements. Galaxy Tab E 8.0's design is heavier but somewhat thinner than Asus Fonepad 7.
Asus Fonepad 7 features just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus Fonepad 7 also has more RAM memory and a 64-bits processing unit. Asus Fonepad 7 counts with a way better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800, the Asus Fonepad 7 also counts with a little bit higher count of pixels in each inch in the display.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features a greater camera than Asus Fonepad 7. Both of them have a back facing camera with a 5 megapixels resolution, the same video frame rate and the same video resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features a slightly better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus Fonepad 7, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has an external SD slot that allows up to 128 GB.
