Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is slightly better than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, with a 66.2 score against 64.9. Both tablets in our current comparison use Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has older 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is an older device than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, but Samsung managed to build it lighter and somewhat thinner anyway.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0. Both of them have a better amount of pixels per inch in the screen, exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800 and a same size display. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, and although they both have 4 processing cores and the same RAM amount, the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also has an extra graphics processor.

The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 takes way better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (HD) video resolution, the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has a back facing camera with lot more MP. Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features a bit more memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 128 GB.

The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a 12% bigger battery size.
