Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, with a score of 64.9 against 60.8. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is a little heavier than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, it's somewhat thinner and incredibly newer. These tablets use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a newer 5.1 Lollipop version and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has Android 4.1.2.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus counts with a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, although it has a little less pixels per screen inch, a bit smaller display and a lot lower resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels. The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has more cpu cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 shoots way better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (HD) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has a lot more mega-pixels back camera. Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus counts with more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has a SD memory slot that holds 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has a 25 percent larger battery capacity.
