Comparison review
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab, having a 67.9 score against 58.6. These tablets include Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a more recent 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3, giving some extra features and increased performance. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 body is way newer, incredibly thinner and just a bit lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much sharper display than Galaxy Tab, because it has a way greater pixel amount per inch in the display, a much higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a larger screen. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a lot bigger memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal memory.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab, because it has more CPU cores and a higher amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab features a much longer battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab, because it has a back camera with a much higher resolution and a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab, letting go some specifications.
