Comparison review
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab, getting a score of 61.2 against 58.6. Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a way newer device, and it is also a lot thinner and way lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but the Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a more recent 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3 version, offering some additional features and increased performance.
Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a very superior hardware performance than Galaxy Tab, because it has a greater amount of RAM and 3 more cores. Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a brighter display than Galaxy Tab, because it has a bit bigger display, a lot better resolution of 1920 x 1200px and a much better count of pixels per display inch.
Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a much better storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab. Both of them have the same internal memory. The Galaxy Tab captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, although it has a much less MP resolution back facing camera and a lot worse 720x480 video definition.
The Galaxy Tab counts with a superior battery life than Asus MeMO Pad 8.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 costs more than the Galaxy Tab, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
