Microsoft Surface 2 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab, having a general score of 63.4 against 58.6. The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with Windows RT 8.1 OS, and Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with Android 2.3.3 OS. Microsoft Surface 2's construction is incredibly newer and incredibly thinner, but also heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Microsoft Surface 2 features just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab, because it has a way bigger screen, a much better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a little bit higher display pixels density. Microsoft Surface 2 features a greater processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a larger number of faster cores and more RAM memory.

Galaxy Tab has a bit better camera than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a much less MP resolution camera in the back and a way lower video definition. The Microsoft Surface 2 features a much bigger storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 32 GB more internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab features a superior battery life than Microsoft Surface 2.

Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
