Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a lot better than the Galaxy Tab, having a 72.2 score against 58.6. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3 operating system. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 body is newer and way thinner, but also notably heavier than Galaxy Tab.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a sharper display than Galaxy Tab, because it has a way larger screen, more pixels per inch of screen and a much higher 1440 x 2160 resolution. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a much greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a better processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has more RAM memory and more cpu cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab has a little bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a much worse video definition and a lot worse 3 megapixels resolution back facing camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab counts with a much longer battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, else you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab, giving up a couple features and specifications.
