Comparison review

Galaxy Tab has a global score of 58.6, which is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface RT's 58.4 overall score. The Galaxy Tab is an older and much thicker tablet than the Microsoft Surface RT, but Samsung managed to make it lighter anyway. Galaxy Tab works with Android 2.3.3 OS, and Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT OS.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Microsoft Surface RT have quite similar screens, because although the Microsoft Surface RT has a just a little lower screen density, it also counts with a lot bigger screen and a better 768 x 1366 resolution. Microsoft Surface RT counts with a better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has an additional graphics co-processor, a larger number of cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.

Galaxy Tab takes a lot better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 720x480 video definition and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab also has a back camera with lot more mega-pixels. Microsoft Surface RT counts with a way bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy Tab features a much better battery life than Microsoft Surface RT.

Although Galaxy Tab is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab, else you can save some money and buy the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go some specifications.
