The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a score of 60.5, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab's score of 58.6. Both tablets in this review use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a more recent 7.1 Nougat version while Samsung Galaxy Tab has Android 2.3.3, so it counts with some additional features. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 body is extremely newer and notably thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab's, but it is also somewhat heavier.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab features a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a bit worse 600 x 1024px resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of screen. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a greater memory to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab, although it has less internal storage capacity.
Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a little bit better performance than Galaxy Tab, because it has a larger amount of RAM and a higher number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a very superior battery duration than Galaxy Tab, because it has a 50 percent more battery size. The Galaxy Tab captures clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, although it has a much worse 720x480 video resolution and a much worse resolution camera.
