Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Tab has an overall score of 58.6, which is a bit better than Sony Tablet S's 57.5 general score. These tablets use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab has the previous 2.3.3 version and Sony Tablet S has Android 4.0 version. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Sony Tablet S were only released with a couple months difference, the Samsung Galaxy Tab design is noticeably lighter but somewhat thicker than the Sony Tablet S.

Sony Tablet S and Galaxy Tab have extremely similar screens, because although the Sony Tablet S has a just a bit less pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a really bigger display and a better resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels. Sony Tablet S counts with a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab. Both have equal internal memory.

Sony Tablet S has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has 512 MB more RAM and a greater number of cores. The Sony Tablet S takes just a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a way higher (HD) video resolution and a camera with lot more mega-pixels.

Sony Tablet S has better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.

Galaxy Tab is not only the best tablets in our comparison, but it's also a bargain compared to the other ones, making this tablet an obvious call.
