Both devices in this review come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has newer 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 design is newer and noticeably thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's, although it's much heavier.
Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 features a much sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution, a better screen density and a much larger display. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has a superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 also has 64 GB internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 counts with a better performing processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has 2 GB more RAM memory, a larger number of cores and a much better graphics co-processor working at 450 MHz. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 features a much better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a 138 percent larger battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 takes much better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a lot better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a much higher 8 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
