Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a general score of 75.2, which is slightly better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's general score of 68.5. These tablets work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a newer 4.4.2 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 were released only 3 months apart, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a bit thinner and lighter.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a bit better hardware performance than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. They have a 450 megahertz graphics co-processor, the same RAM amount and a Quad-Core CPU. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a little sharper display than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has a just a little less pixels per screen inch, and they both have an equal resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a bit larger screen.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a little bit more memory to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
