Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a general score of 75.2, which is just a bit better than the Google Nexus 9's 74.5 score. Both of these tablets come with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has the previous 4.4.2 version while Google Nexus 9 has Android 5.0. Even though Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is older than the Google Nexus 9, it's design is notably lighter and just a bit thinner.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a slightly better looking screen than Google Nexus 9, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher 2560 x 1600 resolution and a just a bit higher screen density. Google Nexus 9 has a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has lesser 2.3 gigahertz CPU cores and doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have 2 GB of RAM memory, the Google Nexus 9 also counts with a 64-bit processor.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has much more storage for apps and games than Google Nexus 9, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB. The Google Nexus 9 features a very superior battery life than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because it has a 6700mAh battery size.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 captures slightly better photos and videos than Google Nexus 9. Both have the same video quality, the same resolution back-facing camera and the same video frame rate.
Although Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a better device, it is more expensive than Google Nexus 9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Nexus 9. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Nexus 9, letting go some specs and features.
