The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is much better than Huawei MediaPad M1, with a global score of 75.2 against 61.5. Both tablets in this review have Android OS, but Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has 4.4.2 version and Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2, offering some additional features and performance enhancements. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's body is a little heavier but a little thinner than Huawei MediaPad M1, and both of them were released only 2 months apart.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a sharper screen than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a way better 2560 x 1600 resolution, a little larger screen and a much better pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a quite superior performance than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has an additional graphics processor and a higher amount of RAM.
Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 captures way better photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has a camera in the back with much more MP. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a very superior memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 64 GB and 32 GB internal storage.
The Huawei MediaPad M1's battery duration is very similar to Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's battery lifetime.
Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is way more expensive than Huawei MediaPad M1, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
