Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, having a general score of 75.2 against 65. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 operating system, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 comes with Windows 8 operating system. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's design is lighter and somewhat thinner than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, even though they were only released with a couple months difference.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features an incredibly better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a way better amount of pixels per screen inch and a lot higher resolution of 2560 x 1600. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a quite better processing power than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has 2 more cpu cores and a graphics processing unit.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 captures a lot better photographs and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has a camera with much more mega pixels. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has just a bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a really longer battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, resigning some features and specifications.
