Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has an overall score of 75.2, which is a bit better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5's 69.2 general score. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 construction is newer, much thinner and noticeably lighter than Samsung ATIV Tab 5. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 comes with Android 4.4.2 operating system, and Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has Windows 8 operating system.
Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with an incredibly better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a lot better 2560 x 1600px resolution and much more pixels per inch in the display. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a much better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a better performing CPU than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has an extra GPU and a larger number of cores (and they are faster). Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has longer battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has 4800mAh of battery capacity instead of 4080mAh.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 shoots much clearer videos and photos than Samsung ATIV Tab 5. Both have a back-facing camera with an 8 mega-pixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 costs more than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
