Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, having a score of 75.2 against 65.9. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a just a little thinner and noticeably lighter tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, although both were only released with a couple of months difference. Both tablets in our current comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a more recent 4.4.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has Android 4.2 version.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a lot better display than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way better screen density and a much higher resolution of 2560 x 1600. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a quite superior hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a higher amount of RAM, an extra graphics processing unit and a higher number of cores (and they are faster).
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch feature similar storage capacity to store more apps and games, both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 shoots greater photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a lot better 1920x1080 video resolution and a back-facing camera with a way better resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a much longer battery life than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because it has a 42 percent larger battery capacity.
Even being the best tablet in this comparison, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is also cheaper, which makes it a very good choice.
