Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a global score of 75.2, which is much better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017)'s 65.7 score. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 construction is a little bit lighter and thinner than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), despite of the fact that it was released 4 years before. These devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has the older 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has Android 9.0 Pie.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a much more vibrant display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a little larger display, a way higher resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a way better count of pixels per display inch. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have 2 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has an additional graphics processor.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, although it has lower video frame rate, they both have a same resolution back facing camera and the same (Full HD) video resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has slightly more storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has an external memory card slot that allows 192 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory capacity.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) counts with a little better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
