Comparison review

Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, having a global score of 75.2 against 74.3. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's design is way lighter but just a little bit thicker than the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and they were only released 5 months apart. Both tablets we compare here have the same Android 4.4.2 OS, so both should give you very similar OS features.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a lot smaller screen, and they both have the same 2560 x 1600 resolution, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also counts with a little bit better amount of pixels in each inch in the screen.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 captures slightly better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and although they both have a 8 mega-pixels camera and the same video definition, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has better video frame rates. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a bit bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 128 GB.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a much longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because it has 7900mAh of battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, giving up a couple features and specs.
