The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a global score of 73.9, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4's score of 73.3. Although it's the best in this review, Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's construction is a bit thicker and heavier than Galaxy Tab S 8.4. These tablets come with the same Android 4.4.2 OS (Operating System), so both should give you the same OS features.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a little faster CPU than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM and an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with a GPU. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab S 8.4. They have an equal resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a better pixels count per screen inch and a screen of the same size.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has just a bit bigger memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because it has 4900mAh of battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have the same video quality and a 8 megapixels camera, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has higher 60 frames per second video frame rates.
Although Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy Tab S 8.4, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
