Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a brilliantly designed Android tablet device released in January 2014, which features a big 8.4 inches capacitive touch-screen, a high-tech 2300 MHz Quad-Core processor, an 8 megapixels back side camera and a 2 megapixels front side camera. That's everything we have to say? Not at all, it's just the shortest summary.

Samsung made a great optimization job making the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 as lightweight as 11.68 oz. The Tab Pro 8.4 is only 8.62" long and 5.06 inches wide, but it is still able to fit a a 8.4 inches display. Being just 0.28" thick,the Tab Pro 8.4 is very thin and good-looking.

Samsung decided to equip this tablet with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 chip, including a high speed 2.3 GHz Quad-Core processor and a huge 2 GB RAM. Graphic rendering often uses a lot of CPU processing time, so this device counts with an additional 450 MHz Adreno 330 GPU to take some work out of the processor. This tablet comes with a quite large 16 GB internal storage and an SD card slot, which allows you to install a couple hundred apps without worrying about space.

This tablet includes an absolutely amazing 2560 x 1600 8.4" display, which makes everything look perfect. Its display uses Super Clear LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This tablet is equipped with two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. The Tab Pro 8.4 also films videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 60 fps. This camera also includes a large number of great characteristics like auto-focus, flash, smile detection shooting, face detection shooting, geo tagging and HDR mode.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a large 4800 mAh non-replaceable battery providing this tablet an extremely long battery duration. An issue to consider is that this tablet's battery is non-replaceable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, whereas with such a huge battery size you will probably buy a new tablet device before it becomes an issue.

This tablet features Wi-Fi capability (which it can provide to other devices acting as a wireless router or modem), 4G LTE high speed internet connection and also HSPA+ connection type, which is a bit slower 4G technology and the fastest 3G connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE technologies. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.
