Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is much better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, having a score of 74.3 against 60.8. These devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 version, so it gives some extra features. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 were released with only a couple of months difference, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 design is notably heavier but extremely thinner than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a way lower 1200 x 1920 resolution and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit better screen pixels density.
Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a very superior camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a bit bigger memory to install games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 128 GB.

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is a lot more expensive than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
