Comparison review
The iPad mini 3 has an overall score of 77.5, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5's score of 74.3. Even though the iPad mini 3 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 were released with only a couple months difference, the iPad mini 3 body is incredibly lighter but also somewhat thicker than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. IPad mini 3 works with iOS 8.x OS, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 works with Android 4.4.2 OS.
The Apple iPad mini 3 features a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a really smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1536 x 2048, it also counts with a little bit higher pixels density. IPad mini 3 has a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a lower number of cores and slower and lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and a 64-bit processing unit.
The iPad mini 3 has a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with longer battery duration than Apple iPad mini 3, because it has a 7900mAh battery size.
The iPad mini 3 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, although it has a back camera with much less mega pixels and a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.
Although iPad mini 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab S 10.5. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy iPad mini 3, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, resigning a couple features and specifications.
