The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a general score of 74.3, which is a lot better than Microsoft Surface 2's overall score of 61.8. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has Android 4.4.2 OS, and Microsoft Surface 2 counts with Windows RT 8.1 OS. Although Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Microsoft Surface 2 were only released with a few months difference, Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is way lighter and thinner.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a little bit better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface 2, because it has 1 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a much better looking display than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1600 x 2560px resolution and a higher display pixels density.

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with a very superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Microsoft Surface 2. They have the same 32 GB internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with a much longer battery duration than Microsoft Surface 2. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with a greater camera than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has a lot better resolution camera in the back.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 costs a bit more money than Microsoft Surface 2, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra dollars.
